Meet The Heart of EDSPA!

Piper Wise - Owner & Ballet Instructor

Hi! I'm Piper Wise, the owner and director of EDSPA, and I am so excited to welcome you to the studio! I graduated from El Dorado High School in 2024 where I was Captain of the EHS Classic Cats Dance Team, and I am currently attending Butler Community College where I'm studying Elementary Education on a vocal music scholarship, and a member of the Butler Headliners!

I have have been dancing since I was put in dance age of 4 by my mother after becoming obsessed with Barbie and the 12 Dancing Princesses. When I'm not in the studio, you can find me singing, playing Minecraft or Fortnite, snuggling my sweet dogs: Willow and Benji, watching the KC Chiefs, KC Royals, or KU Jayhawks, binge-watching my favorite movies and TV shows, or arguing with my boyfriend over whether or not KU is better than K-State. (Rock Chalk!)

✨ Fun Facts About Ms. Piper:
• I'm a huge Swiftie, and I've seen Taylor Swift live 4 times on 3 different tours (Red, Reputation, and The Eras Tour twice!)
• My favorite colors are purple, pink, and green
• I am mildly obsessed with Mickey Mouse ears—I own 17 pairs from Disney World! 🎀🐭

I can't wait to dance with you this season!

Briley Landgren - Tap & Jazz

Hi! I’m Briley Landgren, and dancing isn’t just what I do—it’s who I am. From the moment I took my first steps at age three, I’ve been captivated by movement, rhythm, and performance. By seven, I was competing, and since then, I’ve poured my heart and soul into every leap, turn, and rhythm, constantly pushing myself to grow as a performer.

Right now, I’m proudly dancing as a Headliner at Butler Community College, where I also have the honor of serving as Dance Captain. Leading the team has taught me so much about teamwork, responsibility, and inspiring others, and it drives me to chase my dream of making a lasting impact in the dance world. Through rigorous training, countless performances, and leadership opportunities, I’ve learned that dance is not just about skill—it’s about passion, dedication, and connecting with your audience on every level.

When I’m not in the studio, you’ll find me singing my heart out, spending quality time with my sister, or coaching little league softball—always bringing that same energy, focus, and enthusiasm that fuels my dance. Every performance, practice, and interaction is an opportunity to grow, inspire, and share joy.

Dance is more than art to me; it’s a way to express, connect, and shine. I’m excited to continue this journey, embrace new challenges, and share my love for movement with everyone I meet!

Autumn Lind - Primary 1 & 2

Hi! I'm Autumn Lind. I started dancing when I was just 3 years old, and it’s been such a fun journey—full of breaks, comebacks, and so much growth over the years. Dance has always had a special place in my heart, but I really began taking it seriously during my junior and senior year of high school. During that time, I competed in several local dance competitions and placed 1st and 2nd multiple times, which pushed me to keep improving and made me fall even more in love with performing. I was also a proud member of the EHS Classic Cats Dance Team both junior and senior year, which gave me amazing friendships, unforgettable memories, and a deeper passion for teamwork and discipline.

Now, I’m super thrilled to be attending Butler Community College on a dance scholarship while majoring in education. Getting to balance academics with dance has been such an exciting challenge, and I’m grateful every day that I get to continue doing what I love while working toward my future career.

When I’m not studying or dancing my heart out, you can usually find me playing video games, hanging out with my friends and family, or spending time with my adorable animals. They’re my favorite way to unwind after a busy day! I’m so excited to keep growing, learning, and dancing through every new opportunity that comes my way.

Mack Poeverlein - Contemporary

Hi! My name is Mack Poeverlein. I’ve been dancing for over 13 years, beginning my training at Donna’s School of Dance in my hometown of Garnett, Kansas. During my time there, I studied a wide variety of styles and built a strong technical foundation that continues to shape me as both a dancer and a teacher.

Now based in El Dorado, Kansas, I’m pursuing my passion as a Dance Major at Butler Community College, where I’m furthering my training in jazz, ballet, modern, tap, and hip-hop. I’m dedicated to honing my craft, and I love being able to share the joy of movement with others.

Alongside my dance studies, I’m also an active performer in the fine arts. I’m a proud member of the Butler Headliners, where I get to combine my love of singing and dancing on stage. My well-rounded performing background helps me bring a fresh, dynamic energy to my teaching style.

Some of my favorite styles include jazz, hip-hop, contemporary, and tap, and I’m so excited to bring my enthusiasm, creativity, and knowledge to my students. Whether in class or on stage, I strive to inspire others to discover their own love for the arts and to grow into confident, expressive performers.

Chris Miller - Hip Hop

Hi! I’m Chris Miller, and I’m so excited to be part of the EDSPA family. I’m currently majoring in Visual Arts Education at Butler Community College, and I love finding ways to combine my passion for dance, music, and art every day.

I’ve been dancing since I was 2 years old, and over the years, I’ve trained with multiple companies, transferring three times to challenge myself and grow as a performer. Eventually, I decided to step away from competitive dance to focus on show choir in high school, which gave me the chance to explore performance, stage presence, and teamwork in new ways. 🎶✨

When I’m not in the studio, you’ll usually find me singing, playing guitar, diving into musical theatre, or creating visual art. Dance, music, and art aren’t just hobbies for me—they’re a way to express myself, connect with others, and inspire those around me.

I’m thrilled to share my love of movement, music, and creativity with the dancers at EDSPA, and I can’t wait to see what we can accomplish together this season! 💜

✨ A few fun facts about me:
• I play the guitar 🎸
• I love musical theatre 🎭
• I sing in addition to dancing 🎤
• I’m a passionate visual artist 🎨

Alice Jones - Substitute

Alice is currently majoring in Liberal Arts at Butler Community College and is a proud member of the Butler Headliners, where she continues to grow as both a performer and a leader. With 15 years of dance experience, she has built a strong foundation across multiple styles—spending 11 years in the competitive dance world and the last 2 years dedicated to refining her ballet technique with a deeper, more focused approach.

Alice’s dance journey also includes several seasons with Ballet Wichita’s beloved production of The Nutcracker. Over the years, she performed in a wide range of roles, including Snow, Flowers, Spanish Corps, and many other ensemble and specialty parts. These performances not only strengthened her technique and stamina but also deepened her love for classical ballet and storytelling on stage.

Beyond her dance life, Alice is a creative soul who loves watching movies, listening to music, and discovering new interests. She has a growing passion for learning French and enjoys challenging herself with new vocabulary and cultural insights. Whether she’s in the studio, on stage, or exploring her hobbies, Alice brings dedication, warmth, and a genuine love for the arts wherever she goes.

Chloe Beth Welsh - Substitute

My name is Chloe Beth and I am so excited to join the EDSPA staff this season!

I’ve been dancing since the age of two, and I truly feel like I grew up in the dance world. Over the years, I’ve trained in a wide variety of styles, but my favorites are modern and musical theater—where I get to combine my love of movement with storytelling and expression.

Along with teaching, I’m also a performer myself. I am currently a dancer for the Thunder Ice Girls dance team, bringing high-energy performances to live crowds. I also teach and substitute at several studios in the Wichita area, including Derby Children’s Theater, where I get to share my love of the arts with young dancers.

I have a strong background in theater as well as dance. I’ve directed and choreographed multiple children’s musicals, such as Legally Blonde Jr. and Magic Treehouse Jr., which has given me the opportunity to guide young performers in both acting and dance.

I’m passionate about inspiring the next generation of dancers and performers, and I’m thrilled to bring my creativity, energy, and experience to the EDSPA family!

Eryanna Gorman - Substitute

Hello! My name is Eryanna Gorman. I discovered my passion for dance in 2019 when I joined my high school dance team. My love for movement and expression grew even more through three years of performing in show choir, where I combined my vocal talents with dynamic choreography.

My dedication to the arts led me to Butler Community College, where I attended on a vocal music scholarship as a Butler Headliner from 2022 to 2025. I originally pursued a degree in music education because I loved the idea of inspiring others through teaching music. But after just one semester, I realized that my true calling was dance. I made the big decision to switch my major, and once I committed, I poured everything into it. I completed all of my dance credits with determination and pride, gaining extensive training in multiple styles and performance techniques.

That hard work opened exciting doors for me, and I am now proudly dancing as a Wichita Thunder Ice Girl, bringing energy, precision, and artistry to every performance. I’ve become known for my enthusiasm, strong work ethic, and my ability to connect with audiences both on stage and on ice.

Outside the studio, I’ve been happily engaged to my fiancé, Eli, since the summer of 2024, and we’re joyfully planning our wedding for 2026. 💍✨

My journey reflects how much I truly love the performing arts, and how willing I am to take bold steps to follow my passion. I’m committed to growing, creating, and inspiring others through movement—and I’m so excited to see where this path takes me next.

Katie Lawrence - Substitute

Hi! I'm Ms. Katie, and I am so excited to be part of the EDSPA team!

I began my dance journey a little later than most, but over the past three years at Butler Community College, I have fallen completely in love with the art form. I started out studying modern dance, and from there expanded into jazz, ballet, hip hop, and tap. Exploring each of these styles has helped me grow as both a dancer and performer, and I love finding new ways to express myself through movement.

During my time at Butler, I was fortunate to perform with some amazing groups. I spent one year dancing with the Butler Headliners and two years as part of the Butler A Cappella group. These experiences gave me the opportunity to perform on stage in front of diverse audiences, and to build strong connections between music, movement, and storytelling.

Currently, I am also a member of the Thunder Ice Girls, where I get to perform at games and events, bringing energy and excitement to the crowd. Being part of such a high-energy team has been one of the highlights of my dance journey so far!

I am thrilled to be joining the EDSPA staff as a substitute teacher. I can’t wait to share my passion for dance with the students here, encourage them in their growth, and help them discover the same joy I’ve found through performing.

Andrea Wise - Office Manager

My name is Ms. Dre and I am thrilled to be joining the EDSPA team as the Office Manager!

I’m a dedicated nurse practitioner with nearly a decade of experience providing comprehensive and integrated care in both hospital and clinical settings. Throughout my career, I’ve always valued compassion, organization, and a patient-centered approach—and I’m excited to bring those same qualities into my role at the studio.

Outside of my professional life, I enjoy living in El Dorado with my husband, Brett, and our daughter, Piper. We love spending quality family time together, traveling, and discovering new places and cultures. I’ve always had a special love for theater and the arts, and it has been a meaningful source of inspiration for me over the years.

My connection to the dance world runs deep. I’ve proudly supported Piper through 17 years of singing, dancing, and performing, and being part of her journey has given me a strong appreciation for the performing arts community. I’m excited to bring my experience, professionalism, and warmth into the studio environment.

I look forward to being a welcoming face for families, a strong support for our teaching staff, and an organized guide for the studio’s daily operations. My goal is to ensure that every dancer and family at EDSPA feels cared for, supported, and valued.

Megan Leidy - Office Secretary

Hi, my name is Megan, and I am so excited to be part of the EDSPA family as one of your office workers!

I am currently majoring in Music Education, which has given me a strong foundation in both performance and teaching. While my dance journey began just last year, it has quickly become a passion of mine. I’ve had the opportunity to explore tap, modern, and hip hop, and I absolutely love the energy and creativity that dance brings into my life.

Music has always been at the heart of who I am. I am a singer-songwriter and enjoy composing and performing my own music. In addition, I play several instruments, including piano, guitar, ukulele, and flute, which give me different ways to express myself creatively.

At EDSPA, I’m thrilled to combine my love of the arts with my role as an office worker. I can’t wait to welcome dancers and families into the studio each day with a smile, help answer questions, and make sure everyone feels at home. Being part of this community allows me to support the studio while staying connected to the music and dance world I love so much.

Riley Funke - Stage Photographer

My name is Riley Funke, and I am a proud graduate of Rose Hill High School and a current freshman at Butler Community College, where I’m majoring in Music Education. I’m also a dedicated member of the Butler Headliners, one of Butler’s premier performance ensembles, where I continue to grow as both a vocalist and performer. My ultimate goal is to teach 6th–12th grade vocal music and show choir, inspiring future students to find the same joy and confidence that music and the performing arts have given me.

My love for photography began in the 6th grade, when I first picked up a camera and discovered the magic of freezing a single moment in time. I officially launched my own business during my freshman year of high school, and since then, I’ve built experience as a freelance photographer, specializing in senior portraits, sports, and fine arts photography. Through these experiences, I’ve developed an eye for storytelling, emotion, and the small details that make every subject unique.

While performing will always be one of my greatest passions, I’ve found an equally strong love for capturing the art of performance through photography. There’s something truly special about being able to preserve the excitement, movement, and heart of the arts — not just as a performer, but from behind the camera as well.

I am so thrilled to be joining the EDSPA team as the Stage & Rehearsal Photographer! In this role, I’ll be photographing our talented students in action — both on stage and in the studio — capturing all of the hard work, laughter, and magic that happens within these walls. My goal is to ensure every dancer and family has lasting memories to look back on for years to come.

I can’t wait to combine my passion for the arts with my love of photography and help showcase the incredible talent, creativity, and community that make EDSPA such a special place!
